welcome to SiDiary's update-info 11/2004.

Now you can download the brandnew version with many many new terrific features! :-)

But not only the application was updated. Also the web was completely redesigned to make the navigation easier, so that you can find directly what you are looking for. There are several new or updated sections, like the program descriptions, a quick start reference, a new support section and the forum has received a lot of new members. So if you need help and your question isn't answered at SiDiary.org, it's always a good idea to ask at the board! (Allthough the forum is basically a German forum, the screens are fully translated into many languages and your English posts are appreciated in any thread!)

I want to say thank you to all forum members: The currently released version was available for the forum members as a beta-release in the restricted member zone for several weeks. There were a lot of people who have tested this application  - so again: Thank you very much to all helping hands!

Last but not least I want to tell about another great improvement, which concerns this update-info service: I will focus this service to just major updates because the increased number of users makes it hard to prepare such email sendings. But SiDiary now includes a new online update-check function, which will keep you informed about every available update for apps, language packs, nutrition data etc. I've included a detailed description for this service that also explains the security questions!

Here's just an extract of the list with all changes because the complete list is really long (you can get the complete list at this URL: https://www.sidiary.org/sidiary/download/SiDiaryUpdates4.0.303En.txt ):

* Nutrition database for desktop and PPC included (data comes from the USDA)

* Diagnosis functionality will show your current condition with an easy symbolic interface

* Win32: Profile data will now also be synchronized

* Maintenance of lab test results (A1c, kidney-parameters etc.)

* The time ranges of the control times (Befor breakfast, after lunch etc.) can now be edited on the profile tab (clock-icon button)

* Win32: Automatic update check functionality checks SiDiary.org for program updates, new language packs, nutrition database etc.

* PPC: Added an auto save routine which will save all changes from the bg grid every ~5 seconds

* Insert, delete and ordering of columns

* Win32: Basal profiles for pumps can now be printed (watch out the template section at SiDiary.org)

* Blood glucose calculator added (calculator button at the profile tab): mg/dl <-> mmol/l <-> Whole blood <-> plasma <-> A1c

* Win32: Version 3.6.192 destroyed the pumpers details whe the screen was opened for the second time

Like every update for your Pocket PC (not the desktop version!): Consider to just download the update package (386kB) instead of the full setup (2,3MB). You just have to copy all included files from the "SiDiaryVB.zip" archive to your Pocket PC and restart SiDiary...
